Doubles Russia-Italy

In the Blue Group, Italy won its tie against Russia 2-1. The tie was only decided by match tiebreak of the doubles match. After the Russian duo Evgeny Korolev/Stanislav Vovk took the first set 7-6, the Italians Simone Bolelli and Andreas Seppi were able to turn things around in the second set coming back from 0-3 in the second and winning six games in a row to take the second set 6-3. They also captured the match tiebreak, winning 10.4. On Sunday, Korolev had taken the lead for the Russian team by beating Seppi before Bolelli drew even against Vovk. Dusseldorf (pps)
