Sweden leads 1-0 against Germany

Germany has suffered a bad setback in the battle to make it to the final of the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP 2009. Germany’s No. 1 lost the duel against the Swedish top player Robin Soderling 0-6, 0-6. With comparison to Rainer Schuettler’s strong performance against Gilles Simon on Tuesday, the “shaker” seems completely different. He didn’t find his rhythm and seemed completely lost in the match against Soderling who is better ranked by four places. As intended, Soderling mainly made the points with his forehand and won his seventh singles match in a row at the Rochusclub, sending his opponent off the court without even capturing a single game. Only once before in the history of the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP did a player lose without winning a single game. In 1987, the German, Damir Keretic beat the Australian player Paul McNamee 6-0, 6-0.
